Intense! That the only word I can think of to describe the two books in this series. Both are so well constructed and the characters so well developed, you feel like you are a part of the team trying to solve the case they're working on. As much as I respect Jo, I don't think I'd be able to look to her as a friend. My skin is too thin. I am, however, so grateful that there are people out there like her working to keep me safe. Both of the books are page-turners that I could hardly put down. That the characters often offered up quick prayers to ask for direction or protection and to say thank you made them more real and helped to ground the intensity for me. I hope Ms. Patrick is working on new stories because I'm running through the ones she's already written alarmingly quickly. (I do wish I could change a part of the ending though.).Product details

This is the second book and the last book in the Jo Mc Daniels series it's a must read for those who like a solid ending to the story.
Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of suspense, mystery, intrigue, and many twists and turns. Keeps you on the seat of your chair. A story with strong characters and a strong storyline.
Couldn't put this book down....not disappointed at all...
Can not wait to get another book to read by Ann Patrick...

Loved this book. Hoping there will be more coming about Agent Jo McDaniel's book. Looking forward to the next one.
Both books in this series are well-written, well-researched, good on detail, with pretty good character development. The stoies are well-paced and exciting. However, while Jo's gift is fictional, all the details of the killer are very factual. It is graphic and not a 'fun' read. While good wins over evil, the horror evil has left in its wake is very sad.
Where does evil come from that is so dark most of us can not imagine or even want to try. Anne Patrick has plumbed the depth of madness and evil to compose this mystery. You can read the synopsis on the cover. I will tell you if you enjoy a "truely good mystery" look no further because here it is. Suspenseful, highly intriguing, and the end is not what I had already written in my mind. Go no further, buy it and read.
Malice is suspenseful, creepy and spine-chilling with an unexpected turn near the end! The villain is pure evil. His actions will make your skin crawl. It is a very difficult book to put down. I haven't read Ties That Bind as it was not available when I downloaded Malice. I wish I had read it first, because I did not have as much back story on the characters as I would have. I was thrilled to learn that Ties That Bind is being re-released. Soon I will have the full story. YES!
This is the first book I have read by Anne Patrick, and it surely won't be the last. She is a very talented Author. Highly RECOMMEND!
